Amina El-Edroos (b. 1989) is a visual artist, photographer and educator working between Islamabad, Pakistan, and London, UK. She earned a BFA in Digital Arts at Beaconhouse National University, Lahore (2013) and an MA in Digital Media from Goldsmiths, University of London (2023). Working primarily in digital media, she makes temporal and spatial representations in video and photography, documentation of the everyday urban and suburban space and most recently, belonging and identity as an immigrant. Her most recent research-based work, 'Janemaz' also looked at digital image making by comparing Islamic geometric principles to the code behind the digital interface as they both unfold from an infinite plane. The intention behind the work is to underscore the co-relation and contrasts between the eastern tradition and western thought and making.

Edroos has recently took part in the show 'Photographs' at Como Museum, Lahore and 'Echo' at the Womb, London. Her first solo exhibition titled 'The Neighbourhood' was at 8B2 gallery, Islamabad. Her work was also showcased at the Islamabad Art Festival and Focal Point in UAE.
Edroos has written on art for the publication the Karachi Collective. Additionally, she has taught at institutions including the National College of Arts, Lahore, School of Art, Design and Architecture at NUST, Islamabad and the Beaconhouse National University, Lahore. Along with an art practice she works on freelance photography projects.
She currently resides and works in London, UK.
